As a child, he studies classical piano at the Blankenese Conservatory in Hamburg. After winning the young musicians’ competition “Jugend musiziert”, grants and sponsorship awards, he discovers his passion for electronic pop music and adds synthesiser, keyboard and computer to his collection of instruments. After completing his final school exams, to be on the safe side he studies business management, but remains loyal to music throughout his time at university – performing as a DJ in Hamburg, founding a band that quickly achieves local success, and signing a record deal with RCA. The former manager of Studio Funk Berlin and ADC (Art Directors Club) member is an Executive Producer at MOKOH Music and your first point of call. He teaches saxophone at a college of music, gathers his first recording and live mixing experience, and composes with his band. He is then faced with the problem of either formally studying saxophone, or becoming a rock star. The problem is solved during a pre-university internship at Studio Funk, when he finds himself behind a mixing desk.

Following a music-based early education, as an adolescent he becomes familiar with various instruments such as clarinet, piano and saxophone. While at the music-focused Georg-Friedrich Händel secondary school, he sings in the youth choir, has voice training, plays in the youth orchestra and in various bands.
